General Liability Insurance: Provides protection to the named insured, including volunteers and employees, for bodily injury and property damage claims arising from the inherent risks involved with operating special events.
Liquor Liability Coverage: If you are hosting an event and are selling alcohol, supplemental coverage is available at an additional cost. In order to request a quote through SMIC, click here.
**Please note, your venue owner is not automatically listed as an “Additional Insured” — you must choose this option during the application process.
Typical Policy Limits: General Liability Coverage Limit of $1,000,000 Per Occurrence with a $2,000,000 General Per Event Aggregate. What type of insurance do I need?
How long will it take to receive a quote?
A. For special events, you can get a real-time quote
B. For sports teams and leagues, as well as sports camps and clinics, you can expect to receive a quote within 48 hours to 5 business days from the time SMIC has received a fully completed application. SMIC cannot guarantee a quick turnaround quote for partially completed applications due to the additional communication.
